Woman faces felony charge in husband’s stabbing

A Sulphur Springs woman was being held in the Hopkins County jail Tuesday morning after she allegedly stabbed her husband in the arm with a knife Monday night.


SSISD budget: There's good news and bad news

The good news is that Sulphur Springs Independent School District expects to finish up fiscal year 2011-2012 with $7,002 left out of an overall $52,034,976 budget, all without raising the tax rate above the 2010-2011 rate of $1.04 per $100 valuation.
