To say Craig Johnson is driven is an understatement. He is a businessman, a underwater diver, an investments counselor, a family man, Eagle Scout and mayor of Sulphur Springs.


Murder charge filed in stabbing death

A Sulphur Springs man has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Justin Daniel Pawlik. Clint Weldon Wilson, 30, was arrested on the charge Wednesday afternoon.


Community Response 'Shocks' Cops [Video]


Hopkins County literally shocked law enforcement with their more than $31,000 in monetary donations to the Blue Santa program. Ten officers were Tasered by Blue Santa himself Wednesday morning at Star Country Radio, honoring their pledge to suffer the electroshock if the community surpassed the program's $25,000 goal by at least $2,500. "It was like someone was hitting you with a jackhammer," said Sulphur Springs Police Sgt. Mitch Griggs. Pictured being Tasered are Cumby Police Sgt. Police continue inquiry into stabbing death

No resolution has yet been reached in the stabbing death of a 27-year-old Sulphur Springs man last week.
