Mailing of voter registration cards delayed by political squabble

While political parties and federal judges try to settle disputes over which party or group has more or better representation, election officials are left in the dark as to when this year's primary elections might be held.

Filing begins Feb. 6 for city, hospital elections - Three seats open on city council, two on hospital board

The filing period for a position on the Sulphur Springs City Council ballot and for the board of directors of Hopkins County Memorial Hospital District will open on Monday, Feb. 6, and continue through Monday, March 5.
