The Student Guide: Writing assignments lead Jerry Tittle to a career in counseling

Jerry Tittle, who will retire this year after 39 years in educations, 27 of them with Sulphur Springs ISD, didn’t plan on being a school counselor. He actually started his long career in public schools as an English teacher. He was inspired by two English teachers at Mount Vernon ISD.


CASA workers say child abuse a nationwide epidemic

If you visit the courthouse this month, you’ll notice a display inside with children’s names on it. Toward the end of the month, you might even see some cutouts of kids on the grounds. Around town, you’ll probably notice people wearing blue ribbons.
