Landon Joslin and Laiken Gammill were married in a small, private ceremony, conducted by Justice of the Peace Yvonne King, in the presence of a few relatives on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Friends and family are invited to join in the celebration of their union at their wedding reception/shower on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 2:30 p.m. at the Tira Community Center.

Jaidyn Joslin, Landon’s little sister, turned 5 on the 9th, so after the wedding, our family went out for frozen yogurt in celebration of her birthday.

The annual Horn family reunion was held at the Tira Community Center on Saturday, Oct. 12. We had a small, but good group. Twenty-three family members attended and enjoyed good food and fellowship.

The North Hopkins Alumni Homecoming will be held on Nov. 2, at the school cafeteria. Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the meal will be served at 6 p.m., followed by a brief program and time for visiting. The Class of 1963 will be honored for their 50th reunion. The following students were in their senior class: Eddie Don Cox, Edna Helm, Joe Lee Johnson, Billy Ray McPherson, Paula Minty, David Phillips, Danny Rawson, Connie Lue Riley, James Ray Smith, Ruby Mae Thompson, Wanda Waggoner and Phillip Wilburn. If you know any of these people, please pass the word along about the homecoming and encourage them to attend. If you were in the Class of 1963 and know of others who were a part of your class throughout your school years, please let them know that they are invited, too. All former students and teachers are encouraged to attend!
