Robert, Yvonne and Wesley Weir spent Jan. 3 and 4 at a hotel in Dallas relaxing. On Thursday, Dacy, Elise and Eli Campbell came and
spent the night. They had lots of fun swimming and playing. On Friday afternoon, Dustin came and visited, and then Destri came for a visit that night. They stopped on the way home at Cracker Barrel in Greenville. Yvonne says, “It was a nice getaway.”
Sandra Wester enjoyed lunch and visiting at Los Mochis Restaurant in Sulphur Springs on Thursday with Wynelle Belz; Catheron and Don Camper; Mary Sue Clayton; Deb, Red and Cody Ferrell; Virginia Julie Miller; and JoNell Willis. The group was celebrating Red's birthday.
Students at North Hopkins school will be dismissed 1 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. High school basketball against Honey Grove is scheduled to begin at 4:30 Friday afternoon.
Chip and I went with a group from First Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs on Saturday to help with some work at the Lakeview Baptist Encampment near Lone Star. We enjoyed working and visiting with the other workers.
I guess not much is happening in Tira. Everyone must be staying home to try to avoid the flu and just to keep warm.
