Floyd and Martha Payton enjoyed a nice visit from Regina Payton on Friday evening through Sunday morning. Martha's sister, Ann Sullivan from Longview, came up on

Saturday to visit also. Martha said, “We all had a nice meal of lasagna and trimmings, then planned our Thanksgiving get-together. Regina traveled to Fort Worth to attend an outdoor play at The Hip Pocket Theatre on Sunday night.”

Tommy and Patti Wiebold attended Tommy's company picnic on Sunday afternoon. They left home early Sunday morning and went to Cabela's in Fort Worth to do some shopping. When they left Cabela's, they noticed a number of old aircraft flying around Alliance Airport and realized that there was an air show there on Sunday. They sat in the parking lot with a number of other folks and enjoyed watching the aircraft do their maneuvers above. There were a lot of older airplanes — fighter planes, along with some newer ones. After leaving Cabela's, they drove to Austin Ranch at the DFW Hilton in Grapevine for the company picnic. They enjoyed some fun activities, music and a very good meal. They returned to Tira later that afternoon

Karyn Horne came to visit Sandra Wester Wednesday night and took her for her Thursday treatment in Dallas. Mary Lou Jeter arrived from Temple shortly after Sandra and Karyn arrived home from Dallas. They enjoyed visiting and watching a movie Thursday night. Linda Andrasko arrived from Henderson Friday morning. Sandra, Linda and Lou went to Garland Friday afternoon for a sister's slumber party at Peggy Deaton's. Ina Withrow was there when they arrived. The sisters enjoyed dinner at the Dallas Athletic Club and then played Mexican Train with lots of laughs until very late. Peggy's daughters, Susan Rogers and Kay Gentsch, arrived Saturday morning to be their drivers for the day. They all went to the Dallas Athletic Club for brunch and then to the Dallas Arboretum, where they enjoyed the Chihuly exhibit, the pumpkins and pumpkin houses and all the beautiful flowers. After a wonderful time spent with family, Sandra, Linda and Lou returned to Tira. Linda and Lou returned to their homes on Monday.

Extension agent Johanna Hicks would like to inform the readers of some upcoming events.

(Editor’s Note: Please see the Brashear News for the AgriLife Extension Service events.)

Sandra Wester enjoyed lunch with Virginia Miller, Wynelle Belz, Mary Sue Clayton, JoNell Willis, and Red and Debra Ferrell on Wednesday at Los Mochis Restaurant in Sulphur Springs. They all enjoyed seeing each other and "catching up."
