Sandra Wester traveled to Henderson on Wednesday to visit her sister, Linda Andrasko. Thursday morning they went to Tyler for Linda's cataract surgery, which went well. They returned to Tyler early Friday morning for the post-op check and then ate breakfast at The Egg and I. They shopped for a short while after breakfast and then returned to Henderson. Saturday afternoon Sandra and Linda shopped in downtown Henderson and enjoyed a late lunch at Francisco's. They played Scrabble Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday morning they attended church services at First United Methodist Church. Sandra returned home Sunday afternoon.
On Thursday, July 12, Sandra Wester enjoyed breakfast at Burton's in Sulphur Springs for an early celebration of Barbara Anderson and Virginia Julie Price Miller's birthdays on July 19. Others enjoying the celebration and just being together were Jimmy Anderson; Wynelle Belz; Catheron Camper; Mary Sue and Eddie Clayton; Debra and Red Ferrell and their son, Cody; Gale Milligan; and Jonell Willis.
More than 50 members of the A.C. and Fannie Vaughn family gathered at the North Hopkins School Cafeteria for a reunion on Sunday. Our son, Delayne Vaughn, came in from Waco for the reunion and spent Saturday afternoon through Monday morning with us.
Chip and I finally got an opportunity to meet new Tira residents, Mark and Gaye Hixon. We enjoyed a nice visit with them on Monday evening. After living along the interstate in Sanger, Mark is still trying to adjust to the quiet neighborhood of Tira, but Gaye says she loves it!
