Mick and Linda Petty spent the weekend with Ken and Suzi Chapman in Belton. The Pettys report, “Friday night Suzi cooked a great meal and we talked about old times and old friends. Saturday was spent at the Girls State Basketball Tournament in Austin where we saw four really good games, had lunch at Hoovers and ended the day with pizza. It was a great time with great friends.”
Tommy and Patti Wiebold had their niece Sara Miller for the weekend. Sara arrived on Thursday night. On Friday, Sara's friend Jeremy Huanh came to visit and have dinner with them. On Saturday, Patti and Sara went to visit with Kay Ashcroft, Patti's cousin. They had a nice visit and returned to Tommy and Patti's house for the evening. On Sunday, they visited Patti's brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Carolyn Miller, and enjoyed a very nice day sitting out on the deck by the pool, while Barry and Carolyn cooked out on the grill. Sara returned home on a late flight Sunday night.
Morgan Joslin, son of Malcolm and Tiffany Joslin, (along with many other North Hopkins athletes) participated in the Cooper Junior High Track Meet on Friday evening, where he placed first in the 400 meter, third in the triple jump, fourth in the 200 meter and fifth in the 800 relay. On Monday afternoon, he was at Alba-Golden for another track meet. He placed first in the triple jump, second in the 800 relay, third in 200 meter, fourth in 400 meter and fifth in high jump. If others would like to send me news about their children and grandchildren's accomplishments I would be happy to include their news in future columns.
