Our prayers go out to the Clarence "Mitch" Jones family. Mr. Jones was laid to rest Saturday in the Tira Cemetery. Mitch was a member of the Tira Methodist Church, along with his wife, Edwina.
Regina Payton visited with her parents Floyd and Martha Payton, on Friday afternoon through Monday morning. Saturday was spent at home visiting, reading and watching PGA golf. Martha says, “We attended church on Sunday at Tira Methodist, then spent the afternoon watching the final day of the PGA Golf Tour at Pacific Palisades, Calif., a very exciting ending with three players in 'Sudden Death Playoff.’”
Sandra Wester met Virginia Miller, Mary Sue Clayton, Jo Nell Willis, Catheron and Don Camper, Red and Debra Ferrell, Wynelle Belz and her great-grandson Tyler, and Betty Weir at Los Mochis Restaurant in Sulphur Springs on Thursday. The occasion was to celebrate Jo Nell and Betty's birthdays, which were earlier in the week. Everyone enjoyed visiting.
Kelly Lawrence spent Saturday night until Monday afternoon with Sandra Wester. They enjoyed visiting and watching movies. Patti Wiebold visited with them Sunday afternoon.
I heard from Will Moss again, and he is working on a farm in Crowville, La. Notes from friends would help lift his spirit and may be sent to Coach Will Moss, c/o Amos Farms, 1805 Hwy. 577, Winnsboro, LA 71295.
Morgan Joslin, along with four other members of the Civil Air Patrol, participated in the Color Guard Competition at Camp Swift in Bastrop over the weekend, where their group took second place.
Landon Joslin and Laiken Gammill received a really nice baby shower on Saturday, and they are very appreciative of the gifts.
