On Sunday, Dana Waggoner; Danny Moss; Kaden Murray and a friend, Mary Helen, and Dennis Atwood; Joyce Dodd; and Robert, Yvonne and Wesley Weir visited Helen. Michael Dodd called her from Dallas.

On Christmas Eve, Randy and Judy Roberts celebrated Christmas with their family at their home. Attending were Agnes Ponder, Rowdy, Hunter and Hannah Crowson, Lesley and Addey Owens, Garrett Lockhart, and Monica, Catan, Cadence and Creedence Runyan. Judy said they had lots of food to eat and gifts were exchanged. She reports, “Creedence, who is only 1, got a 4-wheeler and was doing a practice spin around the living room and decided he wanted to go around the Christmas tree. Needless to say, the Christmas tree fell, and he only cried because he couldn't get the 4-wheeler to move it out of his way!”

Rick and Judy Petty visited with Chris, Robin, Tyler, Trever and Trey Petty in Cedar Park on Friday. On Saturday, Rick and Judy Petty, Chris, Robin, Tyler, Trever and Trey Petty, and Ronnie, Amy, Mitchell and Macy Green attended Micah Walker's wedding in San Marcos. Judy reports that it was a “beautiful wedding and great reception.” They had a great time visiting with family and friends.

Sherry Smiddy and Powell Vickery had visitors Christmas Eve afternoon — Tara Petty and Mike Owens, and Chanse, Cody, Daylee Fite, Brandi and Aysha Day. Santa brought stocking stuffers early, and everyone enjoyed the day. On New Year's Eve, Chanse cooked for everyone and the kids popped fireworks.

J.R. and Donna Durst had a good New Year's weekend. Their friends from Sachse, Kennith and Vicki King, came for the long weekend. Donna says, "We all went to Finley, Okla., on Saturday to celebrate Cooper Kitchens' third birthday. We were a bit disappointed in the outcome of the Cowboy game, but other than that, we all had a great time."

Tommy and Patti Wiebold enjoyed New Year's weekend with their daughter, Kristie, and her fiancé, Eric Poe. On New Year's Eve, Sandra Wester came over and enjoyed a fireworks display and visited with everyone. On New Year's Day, Kristie and Eric returned to their home in Plano. Sandra Wester came over on New Year’s for supper, and Patti reports that they had “ribs, black eye/purple eye peas, fried cabbage and some of Sandra's delicious buttermilk pie.” Tommy worked on New Year’s Day, but they saved him some. On Monday, Sandra and Patti went to do some shopping and had a late lunch at Lakeside Buffet. After that, Sandra and Patti went to see “Sherlock Holmes” at the theater. Tommy and Patti would like to take this time to wish everyone a very happy New Year.

On Christmas Day, Linda Ellen Vaughn of Dallas and Malcolm, Tiffany, Morgan, Kenden and Jaidyn Joslin visited Delayne Vaughn at Zale Lipshy Hospital in Dallas. Chip and I were there, too, and we celebrated Christmas with Delayne. Kenden Joslin turned 10 on Dec. 27. He celebrated his birthday on New Year's weekend. He and his family joined us for a breakfast party on Saturday, and then Morgan, Kenden and Jaidyn went with us to Waco to visit Delayne in rehab and to continue Kenden's birthday celebration. We went to Cameron Park on Saturday afternoon, and then swam in the indoor hotel pool that night. On Sunday, after visiting Delayne, Chip and the kids swam again, and then we all went to Peter Piper's Pizza for lunch and games. Delayne is walking some with the walker and gets around well in the wheelchair. He has therapy for three hours a day, but still has plenty of time to get bored. Please keep him in your prayers.
