Lane Allton Potts, son of Kelly and Nancy Potts, celebrated his 8th birthday with his friends at Skate Magic on Saturday. Tommy and Patti Wiebold enjoyed a visit from Tommy's brother, Mike Wiebold, and his wife, Terri, over the weekend. Their niece, Megann, and nephew, Jace Findley, also came to visit. On Friday night, everyone arrived at Tommy and Patti’s home and they cooked outside on the grill. On Saturday, the guys did a lot of things around the house and the girls went to town for some shopping. On Saturday evening, Sandi Wester joined them, and they had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed the Buttermilk Pie (Patti's new favorite pie) that Sandi made for dessert. Saturday night was spent outside sitting by the fire and just enjoying each other's company. On Sunday for lunch, Patti made one of her famous shrimp boils with lots of shrimp, potatoes, corn and some jalapeño cheese venison sausage. Sandi Wester also came and joined them for lunch. After lunch, they all enjoyed watching the playoff football games on television. Everyone went home around 3:00 Sunday afternoon. Patti comments, “It was nice to have some fairly good weather while everyone was out for a visit.”

Dacy and Mike Campbell and Eli and Elise spent Monday with Robert and Yvonne Weir. Yvonne says, “We enjoyed being with them and they brought lunch, so that was nice.” Alice Hall, Yvonne’s mother, spent Sunday with Yvonne and attended church with her.

Grace Vaughn was treated to a celebration in recognition of her 90th birthday on Sunday. Fifty-two members of Grace and the late Hubert Vaughn’s family members (children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and in-laws), plus 10 extended family members and close friends gathered at the Tira Community Center to honor Grace on this special occasion. The tables were decorated with pink tablecloths and bud vases with pink roses, white daisies and baby’s breath. A display of photos from Grace’s life brought back many memories. Everyone enjoyed a light lunch of finger-foods (or as Chip quips, “a heavy lunch”) and birthday cake.
