Michael Boyd has been working in Canada for Berger Peat Moss, where their main office and processing plant are located. Sheila reports, "I got to go and visit him the last of June for a few days. We enjoyed the sites in the Manitoba and Ontario provinces. Deer everywhere and highs in the low 70s. Colton stayed at home for college and maintained the home front."
Patti Wiebold and her friend, Glenda Smith, from Nevada, Texas, celebrated their birthdays on Saturday. They went to Big John's for burgers in Cooper then to the Drug Store for some ice cream, where they met and enjoyed visiting with Ms. Maple — hearing stories of days gone by as Ms. Maple has been working there for some 50 plus years. After that, they traveled to Sulphur Springs and went to some antique shops, then back to Patti's home in Tira for some birthday cake. Patti went to the home of her sister, Suzan Miller, and Sandi Wester's for more birthday cake that her sister had made for her.
On Sunday, Tommy and Patti traveled to Dallas to go shopping and then celebrated Patti's birthday with her brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Carolyn Miller, Patti's niece Cassie and Cassie's fiancé, Matt. They had lunch at Texas de Brazil in Addison. Afterwards, Tommy and Patti went to Forney to visit some friends and see their new home and then returned to Tira.
Sulphur Springs Gymnastics is moving to a new location and Candy Wischerman says they've been working hard on moving to the new gym and to getting everything set up and ready for classes. She says, "We are so thankful for the gym and we have some wonderful parents who are working hard to get it up and running."
Judy and Randy Roberts just returned from San Antonio. They took two of their granddaughters, Cade Runyan and Addey Ann Owens, to Sea World and then toured the Riverwalk and rode the boat. The girls loved Sea World. Cade has decided when she grows up she wants to train whales.
Linda Andrasko and Kelly Lawrence and her dog, Charlie, visited Sandra Wester and Suzan Miller over the weekend.
Robert and Yvonne Weir entertained Debra Campbell and her sister, Jenny, as well as Mike, Dacy and Elise, last Wednesday. They had lots of good food from Robert's garden. The Weirs spent the weekend at Destri's in Dallas and visited the Farmers Market and the arboretum. Yvonne says, "We really enjoyed both, but left the arboretum because it was just too hot!"
Chip and I celebrated our anniversary at Applebee's in Paris last Wednesday evening.
