The annual Aiguier Cemetery Meeting was held on Sunday, June 6. About 43 people endured the heat and enjoyed a potluck lunch and visiting. Betty Weir reported on some historical information about the cemetery association. Verda Withrow's granddaughter, Marsha, had come across the papers among her late grandmother's belongings. It was decided that a cemetery workday would be scheduled for the Saturday prior to the gathering next year. The group voted to keep the same officers — Charlie Vaughn, president; Betty Weir, vice president; Debbie Layton, secretary-treasurer; and Jan Vaughn, reporter. Elected to the Perpetual Care Board for another three-year term were Barbara Penny, Nancy Potts and Betty Weir. Ina Withrow visited and ate lunch with Sandra Wester and Suzan Miller on Sunday while Glyn Withrow went to the Aiguier Cemetery gathering. Suzan and Sandra went to Mesquite to attend the wedding of Chris Evans and Brittany Clifton Sunday afternoon.

Annette Loper graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce on Saturday, May 15. She plans to pursue a career in elementary education. Annette's nephew, Mickey Matthews of Sulphur Springs, graduated the same day. He majored in math and chemistry. Tim and Annette's daughter, Courtney Loper, graduated from North Hopkins High School on Saturday, June 5.

Morgan Joslin celebrated his birthday with friends at school last Wednesday and with family at El Charro Mexican Restaurant in Sulphur Springs that night. He received several items in preparation for camp with the Civil Air Patrol.

Linda Ellen Vaughn of Dallas, and Jim, Sandra and Grace Vaughn, of Broken Bow, Okla., visited us over the weekend. We all went to the North Hopkins High School graduation on Saturday afternoon. Tana Hall, Grace's great-granddaughter, was the valedictorian of her class. On Sunday, we went to the Aiguier Cemetery lunch and meeting.

Chip and I treated Tiffany and Malcolm Joslin and their family to supper at our house for Tiffany's birthday on Tuesday night.
