It’s hot and dry in Reilly Springs — That’s the sentiments of everyone this week. Our community just received a few sprinkles of rain over the weekend and certainly needs some more.
Folks in Reilly Springs are still looking for some rain. As we enter the beginning of summer, it is really dry in our area. The month of May didn’t catch us up on moisture, and it looks like a long, hot, and dry summer.
Despite having passed mid-May, the mornings in Reilly Springs continue to be cool — even quite cold on some occasions. One of the community gardeners related their tomato plants are “looking rather sickly.”

Last week I “drug out” my shorts, thinking that warm weather was here to stay, but it’s still been cool a couple of mornings this week. Maybe it is going to be cool until Easter, regardless of how late it is this year.
