There isn’t very much going on in the old “Grove” this week. Although sickness seems a little better than in previous weeks, Sam Speed has been in the hospital. He had a heart attack last week. They

cleaned out some of his arteries and he is home now. I’m sure it will be no time until he is back in action leading good gospel singings near and far.

On Tuesday, workers with B&L Iron Works from Caddo Mills were at the cemetery installing some of the new fence panels. They worked on the front fence near the north gate. The men also set a few panels at the back of the cemetery. If you want to know more about the new fence you can contact Oma Lea Nelson.

There are a couple of community birthdays this week. Happy Birthday to Jeramie Burns on Nov. 1, Abbi Tipps on Nov. 3, and Mrs. Peggy Weatherly on Nov. 5.

Maybe I will have more information next week. If you know of anything going on in the community, please let me know.

As you travel the highways and byways, don’t forget that all roads lead home and back to Miller Grove. Please send me any newsworthy information. My e-mail address is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
