Happy mid-week to everyone. By the time you are reading this, the week will be more than half over. Friday is just around the corner. I hope everyone had a good fourth of July. We didn't do anything special this year.
Saturday was the memorial day at Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Cumby. We had a nice meal with a lot of the family there. It was hot, and if it wasn't for the breeze I don't know what we would have done.
On Sunday my Mom and I kept my niece. My brother and sister-in-law had to work so we happily took baby-sitting duty. She's growing like a weed.
Steve and Melissa Johnson, along with another Miller Grove couple, just returned from an Alaskan cruise. They enjoyed the trip and said that they were even able to see whales from the ship.
Happy birthday to Cathy Rhodes and Jena Burns on July 6, Ernie Weaver and Oma Lea (Garrett) Nelson on July 7, and Carol Ann (Akins) Dunn on July 9.
Faye Tipps had company the other day. Her cousin, J.W. Melton from Tyler, was visiting.
