News is scarce this week but I do have a few items to report.
Of course we are all thankful for the recent rains. Hopefully, this summer won’t be as dry as last year.

    Friday night was the last home basketball game of the season. It was sort of bittersweet for our two seniors on the team, Ryan Dougan and Quinten Stovall. They were honored, with their parents, for the “Senior Night.”
   Since our boys won their game against Trinidad on Friday night, they will be play-off bound. I believe we would be considered first in district. We have two warm-up games this week: Tuesday night in Irving and Friday night at UT-Tyler.
   Happy Birthday this week to Elaine Garmon on Feb. 10, Brian Evans and Vanessa Tipps on Feb. 11, Jade Spencer and Shanda Barron on Feb. 13, Jim Bob Bishop on Feb. 14, Martha (Preston) Collins on Feb. 15 and Ed Basye on Feb. 16.
   Happy ninth Anniversary to Josh and Mary (Russell) Ridings on Feb. 14.
