Friday night’s Fall Carnival at the school turned out well. There was a nice crowd for the stew/chili and bingo.
Saturday, I met some cousins in Garland and went to the Dallas Arboretum. You could never imagine the mass of pumpkins that was scattered throughout the gardens. Fifty-thousand pumpkins, to be exact. There were pumpkins of every shape, size and color. They lined the walkways, houses were made of pumpkins, there were piles of pumpkins, and some small pumpkins were even lined all around the trunks of a few of the trees.
After we left the arboretum, we went to one of my favorite places to eat — Babe’s Fried Chicken. Boy was it good!
Remember the upcoming Dinner Theatre at the school on Nov. 1. I will include more information in next week’s column.
