Sunday the ladies at County Line Baptist Church hosted a baby shower for Kayla and James Weaver. Their newest addition to the family will be here before you know it. They plan on naming their little boy Jaxson Weaver. I’m sure Ernie and Vicki Weaver are excited and ready for their first grandchild.

My neighbor, Kathy Lennon, asked that I help get the word out about the Pilot Club’s annual fundraising event that is coming up. Sherri Kulwicki, former Sulphur Springs resident, has accepted the Pilot Club’s invitation to speak at this year’s Spring Extravaganza Brunch for women. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, at the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center. There will also be a silent auction, door prizes and chances on a raffle for a stainless steel grill and bistro furniture. This is the only fundraiser for the organization, so it is very important that the event is a success. The group has helped to sponsor such local events as Alzheimer Support Group, Handicapable Rodeo, Special Olympics, and the list goes on. If you have any questions you can always call Kathy or check our their website at www.sspilotclub.org.
