This week’s MG News isn’t very long. It seems like there aren’t many activities to report during the month of February. Now, March will be a totally different story. It seems like when March hits it marksthe beginning of all of the spring activities at school.
Faye Tipps, Misty Briggs and I went to Tiffany’s restaurant at Lake Fork on Saturday. It was good. They had a lot of homemade pies that looked really good, but after eating our lunch we didn’t have room for dessert of any kind. Faye and I got the chicken fried steak and Misty ordered meatloaf.
Tuesday night both the boys and girls basketball teams were victorious against Fannindel. The next basketball game will be at Roxton on Friday. Wish our students good luck!
Ty Marler of Emory and his family recently bought part of the Loyd Lennon place in the County Line community. They have been doing a good bit of cleaning up and fencing around the place.
Mr. Watson is now in Fort Worth at the livestock show with several students. Later this month will be the Miller Grove International Livestock Show, followed by the Northeast Texas Livestock Association (NETLA) show at the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center.
Happy birthday to my Uncle Johnny Darrow on Jan. 26, Dalton Darrow and Michelle Tipps on Jan. 30, Kaden Mabe on Feb. 2, and Lance Mabe and Leon Asbill Jr. on Feb. 4.
