Christmas is quickly approaching and “The Grove” is full of activities this week.
Last week, I shared some student Christmas wishes from prekindergarten and kindergarten. This week I have lists from second and third grades. Second graders made the following requests (just to name a few): a Nintendo DS, a violin, candy, a horse, a puppy, a trampoline, an Xbox and a cell phone. The last one is my personal favorite — one student wants to be able to appear on the “America’s Got Talent” show. The majority of the third grade class said that they wanted a puppy. They also wanted: a new cell phone, a Barbie house, a four-wheeler, a laptop computer, games for XBox, and one young lady wanted a new Bible.
Thursday night will be Miller Grove’s first dinner theater. If the night is a success we may try to do another dinner theatre in the spring. If you would like to attend there are still a few seats left.
The pictorial history books are hot off the presses and are now ready for distribution. If you have purchased a copy you can pick it up at the high school office. If you requested a copy to be mailed, you should receive it by the middle of next week.
Happy birthday this week to Mike Frobish on Dec. 11, Eli Cummings on Dec. 12, Karen May on Dec. 14 and Bonnie (Ferguson) Callan on Dec. 17.
Happy anniversary to Dusty and Tara (Russell) Spencer on Dec. 11. They have been married 12 years this year. Congratulations to them!
Monday night the junior high basketball teams played at home. Unfortunately, all three MG teams lost to the Saltillo Lions. This year Miller Grove Junior High has two boys teams and one girls team.
