MILLER GROVE NEWS for Nov. 9, 2011

E-mail Print PDF
There is very little newsworthy information to share this week. Things around the community have been sort of slow. We’re all thankful for the little rain showers we have had lately.

Happy birthday to Susan (Renshaw) White and Deanna (Miller) Morford on Nov. 7, Lynn Johnson on Nov. 9, and Bethena Barrett on Nov. 11.

Happy anniversary to Bettie and James Ray Garrett on Nov. 10. This year will be their 57th anniversary. Congratulations to you both!

I have had a million people ask me what the bulldozer was doing in the open lot beside the cemetery the other day. Well, here is the answer: The dozer driver pushed in the dam of the little pool that was in the back of the old Delay lot (now the cemetery’s property).

Miller Grove drama students will be performing a play for the community on Dec. 15. Actually, it will be a dinner theater. Please reserve your seats now. Tickets will sell for $10 each, with proceeds going to the drama department for supplies and stage costumes. The dinner will consist of lasagna, garlic bread, green beans, tea and dessert. The meal will be served at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria with the play beginning at 6:30 p.m. If you have any questions feel free to let me know or call the school.

As you travel the highways and byways, don’t forget that all roads lead home and back to Miller Grove. Please send me any newsworthy information. My e-mail address is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
