I hope everyone had as nice of a Thanksgiving as I had. We had Thanksgiving Day lunch with my brother’s family and my grandmother. We had way too much food and still did several days after the fact. That was my second Thanksgiving this year. The first was last Saturday at my cousin’s home in Sulphur Springs, our annual Millsap family Thanksgiving meal. Several of the cousins were unable to come, but we still had around 50 people who ate and visited throughout the afternoon.
I talked to Lori Evans the other day and she said that she had a nice 50th birthday last week. She was treated to a Mexican meal and enjoyed the company of her family.
This Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be the boys basketball tournament. If you have time, stop by and watch a game or two. Here’s hoping at the end of the tournament we will have another trophy to add to the trophy case.
Mrs. Evelyn Echeverio has returned home from a short hospital stay. She is doing much better now.
Frank Burns recently had surgery and is improving from what I have heard.
Happy birthday to Steve Dodd on Nov. 28. Faye Tipps, Carolyn Burns, Debbie Lennon and Bobby Weatherly share Nov. 29 as their birthday. Steve Rhodes and Darrell May were both born on Dec. 2. Kip Knowles’ birthday is on Dec. 4.
This week’s news is brief, but I’m sure there will be more to report next week.
