September is scooting along at a brisk pace. Before we know it we will have to prepare for the fall carnival and other events of the season.

Mrs. Bryant’s drama class did a very nice job with their Wax Museum Monday night. I was really impressed with their costumes and all of the effort they put into the project. Mrs. Pitts’ art class helped a great deal by creating all of the back-drops for each student’s display. Each of the drama students were dressed as a notable person in history, and as you went to their display area they would recite a brief history of their life. There were quite a few parents, students and faculty members in attendance. All in all, I would say the night was a big success.

Happy birthday to Frank Weaver on Sept. 12, James Weaver and Jayden Arledge on Sept. 13, and Truman Renshaw on Sept. 14.

Laryn Cummings had her baby Monday, Sept. 13, at 7:17 p.m. in Presbyterian Hospital in Greenville. Braxton Lane was born weighing 9 pounds, 10 ounces and was 21 inches long. Mother and baby are both doing well.

Happy anniversary to Dwayne and Kathy Wren on Sept. 16. Tim and Barbara Potts and Dalyn and Bobby Beck will also celebrate their anniversaries on the 16th. Boy, that has been a popular day for weddings!

As you travel the highways and byways, don’t forget that all roads lead home and back to Miller Grove. Please send me any newsworthy information. My e-mail address is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
