The month of May is full of excitement in Miller Grove. It seems like everywhere you turn there is something to do or somewhere to go. No wonder I can’t seem to get any of the projects finished that I start!
There was quite a bit of excitement in Miller Grove last week. I will try to tell the facts as best I can. My mother always refers to my weekly news as “The Miller Grove Gossip Column,” and she may be right to some degree. Mr. Webster defines gossip as “rumors and conjectures about others.” At least I try my best to only report the facts — well, for the most part!
Who could believe that there are just 20 some-odd days of school left this year? Graduation is gradually creeping up on us, and last week the school released the names of the students who have received top honors in the senior class. Holly Miller was named Valedictorian and Wesley Potts Salutatorian. Congratulations to both of them on their achievements. Being salutatorian, Wesley is following in his grandmother’s footsteps. Marsha (Garmon) Potts was salutatorian of the 1968 graduating class at MGHS.
