Carolyn Clark McPherson e-mailed me to let me know that E.J. Clark's wife is about the same. E.J. appreciates all of your prayers for him and his family.
Karon Weathermon emailed me asking me to let everyone know about the Life Line Screening will be at the Sulphur Springs Senior Citizens Center, 150 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, on Thursday, April 29. The following will be offered: abdominal aortic aneurysm screening, peripheral arterial disease screening, osteoporosis screening, and stroke/carotid artery screening. On-site blood testing is also available. To make your appointment, call 877-792-8480. For more information call, 800-897-9177, ext. 1177, or visit www.lifelinescreening.com Try to take advantage of this valuable service.
How many of you are taking advantage of the facilities at the Senior Citizen Center? If not, maybe you should check it out. There are hot meals available every day by about 10 a.m. for only $2; exercise twice a week; bridge, bingo, 42, chicken foot, and much more. There is always something going on there. Check it out!
Next I guess I should put a plug in for our own Public Library. My son visited for the first time this week and was impressed with all of the options available there. If you like to read, watch movies, or listen to audio books it's all there, plus much more. Come in and check out these beautiful facilities.
Happy Birthday to the following: Jenny Arledge (and Jenny's Dad) Joe Weatherly, March 18; David Alexander and Merle Neas, March 20; and Colton Burns, March 24. I would like to send an extra special birthday wish to my son, Coach Matt Young, and then my granddaughter, Sable Erdmier.
Garden is in and looking good. Lettuce and radishes are up. Tom is busy planting every day with this dry weather.
