Winter blast! I believe it. Baby, it’s cold outside. So … you will find me inside by the fire. I am in the middle of decorating for the holiday season. I know that I am late just have had a lot to do.

How about you? I have not heard much from my “sources” in Brashear lately. I am missing hearing from some of you. Please get with me in some way to let me know what is happening with your family.

Today is the funeral for Rocky Lennon. He has been living in Brashear for the last few years and we are sorry that he passed.

Tom and I have noticed that a few of our Brashear friends are trying to keep with the holiday season by decorating their house. If I were to give a prize for decorating so far, Joanne and Randy Potts win hands down. Their house is the one you notice on the right as we you come into Brashear going south on 67. Beautiful job! Their place always looks so nice.

The rain has done a great job in getting everything nice and muddy don’t you think? Our driveway looks like the beginning of a new lake before the water fills it up. So be weary if you come to visit.

The Wildcats’ season has ended. Their loss to Denison was a heartbreaker but the boys have nothing to be ashamed of because the naysayers never gave them a chance to get as far as they did in the playoffs. I tried to speak to a few of them on Saturday but their tears just broke my heart. Congratulations on a great season to the Wildcats and Coach Owens and his staff. We in Brashear are very proud of the boys on the team who are from Brashear.

Happy birthday to Marsha Krotky, 12/13; Geraldine Davis, 12/14; Seth Stout, 12/15. May all of your birthdays be full of blessings, love, and family.

I know you thought you would never hear it but, Debbie Young is running out of things to write about. Ha! 8) So until next week, take care and remember that there is someone who loves.
