Spring is here? Right! Lately it has been hard to tell with the wacky cold fronts coming through. My grandkids do not know how to dress. Well, maybe we can get a little bit of rain from this front. Garden has been back a little but coming on strong. We are eating a lot of greens right now. Good stuff!

We want to remember the Morrison family with prayers for their loss of Ruth Morrison this week.

Stephanie Rutledge from Brashear was inducted into the honor society of Paris Junior College last week. Way to go, Stephanie.

I have seen on Facebook lately that Idzibitzy Bakery is doing well. She is selling beautiful things for secretary appreciation and teacher appreciation gifts this week. Check it out.

Brashear Bash! Enough said. Please contact Linda Almond, Carolyn Vaughan or myself to let us know if you want to save a space for you. Can't wait to see everyone there and meet some new faces. Hope to see you there. Remember that the youth is sponsoring a baked potato luncheon sponsored by Cumby Telephone.

This Saturday, Brashear Baptist Church is having their Annual Stew and Chili Auction at 5 p.m. All proceeds will help to send the youth to camp this summer. There will be an autographed tea glass and duck call from Duck Dynasty. Come and enjoy good food and good fellowship for a good cause.

P31 is coming. Get your workout clothes on and don't forget April 30 at the Family Life Center at 7 p.m. A great time with inspiration from everyone involved. Hope to see you there. The workouts will begin on a regular basis in May. Check it out at P31fitness.com. Under location, choose Brashear and find out more information.

Flower update from Lucy is that the scarlet penstenon are blooming. Isn't technology wonderful? Got this from Lucy by messaging from my daughter-in-law. Too funny.

Fishing is a fun activity my whole family is getting into. Today, Tuesday, before it got too cold my grandson, Colby, convinced his grandfather to go out and fish. Well, he was right it wasn't too cool to catch any fish. He caught one and a whopper got away. Tom is his witness. Too funny, every time he tells the story the fish gets bigger. He has found his calling. Storyteller!

The hummingbirds are back. They are a lot earlier this year. I can remember that we did not spot any until June last year. I have put out my feeders and they are busy busy. Just thought I would remind everyone to get their feeder out and fill it up.

Has anyone else noticed that school will be out before you know it? I can hardly wait. Fun times in Brashear. Grandkids be wary, DeDe has been looking up things for us to do this summer. Oh, boy! I have finally run out of news.
