Apologizing for starting every Brashear News column with a weather statement but WOW! We are being blessed with beautiful weather. We only had half an inch of rain, but it was a needed rain.

Our garden is taking off like wildfire. I wish I could post a picture of the garden. It is doing awesome. The only thing not doing well is our corn. Tom is looking for a new kind. Suggestions welcomed.

I appreciated from hearing from those who wanted a Brashear Bash. We are working on that to happen real soon.

Prayers are being lifted up for Gerry Prince, Sharon Moore's cousin. He is going to have surgery on Wednesday.

I talked to Pat George today and she said Pastor David Burns is doing some better. He can now eat food. I know I do better when I can eat food. Sure glad to hear you doing better, David.

I made my stop at Sharon's Grub Wagon and I must say it was worth the trip. The food was awesome. While there I ran into Pat George, Brashear people do know good food.

Praise and worship service will be held at Hope Community Center this Saturday, April 21. Love to see you there. Debbie Riggsby will be giving the sermon and music with Tina Bursby and friend. We would love to see you there. Spicy seasoned chicken will be served with tea and cookies. Come join this new worship experience.

Does anyone else think that time is flying by? It seems that school will be out real soon. Didn't seem to go that fast when I worked there. Ha! Kids, enjoy the last few days.

I want to thank all of you for your comments, calls, and e-mails. If you have some news to share, don't hesitate to call. I will get back to you real quick. Take time to smell the roses, grass, flowers and whatever else you have in your area. They are simply beautiful and a wonderful example of God's majesty in full glory.

Wrapping up this edition of Brashear News, remember to call me at 903-612-8806; e-mail me at youngdede60@gmail. com; or stop by our place on County Road 1119. We would love to talk to all of you. God bless you. Please say a special prayer for the tragic loss of one of our own, Tanner Higgins, and may God bless his family.
