Here we are with another week of unusually warm weather for February. Wonder if we will have a problem with bugs this year? I killed a mosquito last night in the house. All of the rain and mild weather is producing mosquitoes early.

Tom asked me to ask if anyone from Brashear is showing any animals the weekend of the 25th at the livestock show. He wants to let people know who to watch for when they show their animals. He will be representing Cumby Telephone with some others to purchase some of the animals shown there, so call and let us know.

The Buyers Luncheon was yesterday, and I had a chance to see the FFA kids from our area in action. They were wonderful. I really enjoyed the three speeches I heard and if I had been their parent, I would have been very proud. Let's show those kids our support by going to the North East Texas Livestock Association Livestock Show and see how hard they have worked.

I wanted to let everyone know that Brandon and Sharon Moore have opened up a new business in Sulphur Springs. They are now operating Sharon's BBQ & Grub House. It is located at 927 Main Street with the telephone number of 903-243-0596. Their hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. They have all sorts of sandwiches, plate lunches, and barbecue by the pound. Brandon cooks the barbecue in his smoker, and if smell is any indication, he is onto something real good. Here’s wishing them good luck with this new endeavor so stop by and check it out.

I also had the opportunity to meet Fred and Ann Moseley from Miller Grove and I enjoyed visiting with them yesterday. Love meeting new people.

I had a call from Marie yesterday and she wanted to let everyone know in Brashear downtown proper that the coyotes are back in packs. Please keep your small animals inside because the coyotes sound hungry.

Hasn't the rain been nice? All of the pools in the area are full except for one of ours that does not get good runoff. Thank you, Lord, for the rain and beautiful sunshine.

We’re gardening again, and the radishes, turnips, lettuce and spinach are in the ground. Can't wait for some fresh greens for salads!

I am blessed this week to have some of my grandchildren visiting. Colby and Landrii are keeping me busy. They do love the outside. As all grandparents know, you cannot spend enough time with our loved ones.

Who would believe that March is just around the corner? The early flowers are blooming and I am beginning to see buds on the trees. Let's keep the prayers going for plentiful rain and no wildfires this year.

Thanks again for all you do to help make seramy job easier. Watch the News for more information coming about spring events at the Community Center. Remember to call me at 903-612-8806; email me at youngdede60@ gmail.com; or just come on by CR 1119. We love to visit.
