We would like to send our sympathies to the Watson family on the death of Dorothy this week. May your memories help ease your pain.
Saturday, May 14, is the Letter Carriers' Food Drive. Please join in helping to “Stamp Out Hunger.” Your rural mail carrier will pick up all your non-perishable items at your mailbox on Saturday, or you can bring them to the post office or a local food bank. Mary will be leaving paper sacks tomorrow or the next day to put groceries in.
We’re still seeing a lot of snakes. We had a snake on our front window climbing up the screen. We would sure like to know what kind of snake it was. It was at least 5 feet long and scary!
We have the prettiest garden we have ever had in a long time. Spinach has been wonderful. We have all of the turnips we want, so if interested, you had better call before Tom plows them under.
Homecoming for Brashear Cemetery is fast approaching. The meeting will be at 9 a.m., and then there will be the good part, a covered dish meal. You know me — always about food.
Graduation is fast approaching, too. I would love to post any local graduates from Brashear. Just let me know.
