I’m a little guy, but I have a gold-plated smile and I always represent great achievement. I got my first hug in 1928 and have received many, many more every year since. I’m supposedly modeled after famed Mexican film director Emilio Fernandez and most say I was named after the uncle of one of my earliest supporters. I may only make an appearance once a year, but it is quite a party when I do — and I get to hang around with some of the most famous people in Hollywood.
