Texas Big Nasty Hog Contest wraps up with prizes

PICKTON – The Texas Big Nasty Hog Contest will wrap up with a closing ceremony held March 27 at 2 p.m. at Pine Forest Community Center.

The Bluecollar Bowhunters, second annual hosts of the TBNHC, will be announcing the results and winners of the recent month-long bow hunting contest.

The contest began on Saturday, Feb. 6 and spanned through Monday, March 8.

There will be food provided at the closing ceremony.

“We will watch contestants videos and will not make any decisions of the winners until that day,” said BCB co-founder Jared Brumley. “We will also be judging best video and best pictures at the closing...Over $6,400 worth of prizes that will be given away.”

For first place prizes include: Bowtech Air Raid, bow case, Hog Bombs, Lake Country gift certificates, Therma Cell, Primos Bow Sling; for second place: Bowtech Swat, bow case, dozen Red Head arrows, Hog Bombs, Lake Country gift certificates, Primos Bow Holsterk; for third place: Primos Ground Blind, Remmington Tree Stand, Block Target, dozen Red  Head arrows, Bass Pro gift cards.

Awards for the most hogs will include a dozen Red Head arrows; for longest tusks: Bow Box and accessories, gun case; for biggest hog: Scent Away products.

Video awards include for first place: $100 cash donation, I-Cam and for second place: $50 cash donation.

The best photo winner will receive a camera from Wildgame.

Youth prizes include for first place: Diamond Bow and bow case, for second place: youth bow target and for youth best video will be awarded a $50 cas donation.
