“We are confident Craig and Jennifer will do a tremendous job, and we wish them lots of luck,” Dr. Dietze said. “We’ll be around to help them however we can, but it sure will be nice to be guests again.”
“We know we have big shoes to fill following Dr. Bill and Peggy, but with the help of the great committee, we are excited about the challenge,” said Craig Roberts. “We have a few surprises in store for the guests.”
Both Dr. Bill and Peggy Dietze and Craig and Jennifer Roberts are $1,000 Glow sponsors this year for the Lights of Life campaign, which raises money every year to fund projects at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. The donations raised through the next Lights of Life campaign, sponsored by the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation, will go to help purchase a digital mammography machine for the hospital.
“Digital Mammography is an important advanced imaging technique for Breast Cancer Screening” says Adam Larson, director of radiology at the hospital. “Though the mammogram itself is performed in a very similar manner, digital images can be processed after the patient leaves to further evaluate any areas of interest. The digital capture of these images also gives the radiologist more tools to use in evaluation of these images. We are extremely pleased to have the ability to provide the community this service in the near future, thanks in large part to the health care foundation.”
“This is the first year a project has been identified before the event actually happened,” said Craig Roberts.
Being able to promote that the money stays here in Sulphur Springs and where the money will go has increased the sponsorship support, Jennifer Roberts said.
“Because of where the funds will be spent this year, the Lights of Life gala will add a little ‘touch of pink’ this year” says,” she said.
Jackie Thornton, director of the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation, said the organization is “truly blessed to have outstanding leaders like Craig and Jennifer to co-chair the campaign.
The campaign committee and the continued generous support of individuals and businesses in the community are what make our gala a success,” Thornton said.
The gala scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, from 6 p.m. to midnight, at the Hopkins County Civic Center and promises to be another fun-filled evening of dinner, dancing and bidding on amazing live and silent auction items.
