Man pleads not guilty to Hudson family killings

CHICAGO (AP) — Jennifer Hudson's brother-in-law pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges he shot to death the Oscar-winning actress's mother and brother and the 7-year-old son of his estranged wife.


Who am I?

Though we are the highest flying birds today, our origins are certainly much-less glamorous. We formed in Chicago under the name Morgan Athletic Club and called that city home for 61 years (though during World War II, we flew around Pittsburgh, ironically, for a year). We spent some good years in Missouri in the 1960s, '70s and '80s before flying the coop and heading to the desert in 1988.

Swayze checks out of hospital, publicist says

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Patrick Swayze has been released from the hospital one week after checking himself in with pneumonia, his publicist said Friday.

Publicist Annett Wolf would not elaborate on the actor's condition but told The Associated Press he "is well enough to have been released." He is now resting at his Los Angeles home, Wolf said.


4 stabbed at club throwing B.I.G. party

 NEW YORK (AP) — Four men have been stabbed early Saturday at a Brooklyn nightclub advertising an after-party for the film "Notorious" about rapper Biggie Smalls.

Police say a 21-year-old man stabbed numerous times was in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital Saturday. Three others were in stable condition; two were stabbed once in the torso and one was stabbed in the back.
