The Dog on the Tuckerbox is an Australian historical monument and tourist attraction, located at Snake Gully, five miles from Gundergai, New South Wales. The monument, a tribute to early pioneers, was inspired by a bullock driver's poem, Bullocky Bill.

The bronze statue celebrates the life of a mythical drivers dog that loyally guarded the man's tuckerbox (lunch box) until death.

The unveiling in 1938 inspired Jack O'Hagan's popular song, Where the Dog Sits on the Tuckerbox (5 miles from Gundagai)

This is where I discovered the Australian snack... Chips w/Chicken Salt. Great French fries with a special seasoned salt.

Why let the truth stand in the way of a good fish story?
