I understand you guys in SS have had some snow....
I also heard something about a "snow chicken".?.?
Is that like a "snow man" with wings?

Did anyone take pictures?....
Sounds interesting.
I've seen an ice eagle chasing a rabbit....
I've seen a snow goose.....
Don't believe I've ever seen a "snow chicken" before.

Why let the truth stand in the way of a good fish story?

I can't wait to see THAT picture either Stan! I have been asking my SS friends to send me pics of all the record breaking snow.....9 inches!!! All those years growing up in SS we would be teased by reports of snow in Dallas, then Greenville, but there was that imaginary line that kept the snow away from SS except for some flurries and an inch or two every now and then.

But the pictures I have seen from SS are breathtaking!!

(That ice sculpture is something else too!!)

i was in dallas and we got probably about 14" where i was - and the dogs loved it. even the basset/beagle mix. the snow was a bit deep for her by the time it quit falling and at that point she quit going out onto the snow to do her business - it was the back porch for her then. but the other two tore up the back yard, the front yard and when we headed out to the local park. leaping bounding all over the place. the smalled is a jack russell terrorist and the other's an odd mix of chihuahua and lab. they loved the cold and the snow. it was also fun watching the kids try and slide down the small hill in the park and even better when the parents would plop down on the object to slide down with the little one in thier arms for protection - only to see them flop over halfway down the slope. fun fun fun. even the teenagers got into snowmen and snowball fights and snow forts. just loved it for a change.

well, once the power came back on. :)
