Early flu season cases are resisting Tamiflu

ATLANTA (AP) — Government health officials are warning doctors that one flu medicine may not work against all cases this year.

The most common flu bug right now is resistant to Tamiflu, which is the leading drug given to people who get the flu. Officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say that means doctors may need to change how they treat patients.

Montag, Pratt nuptials questioned

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag don't appear to be any closer to getting legally hitched.

A brief tease for the fourth season finale of MTV's "The Hills" that aired Monday seemed to indicate that the reality TV couple have made their unofficial Mexican wedding ceremony a legitimate marriage in California. The pair were shown walking into a courtroom with Pratt's sister, Stephanie Pratt, while a judge smiled down on them from the bench.

Hip-hop's Akon admits throwing fan off stage

FISHKILL, N.Y. (AP) — Hip-hop star Akon pleaded guilty Wednesday to harassment for tossing a fan off stage at an upstate New York concert last year.

He will serve no jail time as long he performs 65 hours of community service and pays a $250 fine, according to the plea bargain in Fishkill Town Court.
