LONDON (AP) — Red, white and blue was everywhere in London.
For the Americans — and for the British, too.
OXNARD, Calif. (AP) — David Arkin had never snapped the ball for the Dallas Cowboys before getting to training camp two weeks ago.
When the Cowboys play their preseason opener Monday night at Oakland, Arkin could be snapping for quarterback Tony Romo.
OXNARD, Calif. (AP) — All those young wideouts lining up for a chance to be the No. 3 receiver for the Dallas Cowboys are getting some extra chances.
With Miles Austin dealing with hamstring issues again, Kevin Ogletree is getting extra snaps in practice with the first team and Cole Beasley has come back strong after leaving camp for two days last week because of personal reasons. Dwayne Harris, Tim Benford and Andre Holmes also could get more playing time in the preseason opener Monday night at Oakland.
ARLINGTON (AP) — Scott Feldman was on quite a roll for the Texas Rangers. Then the big right-hander left a changeup over the middle of the plate to Prince Fielder.
Feldman, who had won six consecutive decisions since an 0-6 start, was gone after Fielder's three-run homer with two outs in the sixth. The Detroit Tigers went on to a 6-2 victory over the AL-West leading Rangers on Friday night.
"He's a mistake hitter. He does damage with mistakes," Feldman said. "I was trying to throw down and away, and it was right in his wheelhouse there and he did some damage with it."
