Cowboys hire two new coaches

IRVING  (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys hired Bill Callahan as their new offensive line coach Thursday and added a surprise twist, listing him as offensive coordinator.
Jason Garrett came to Dallas as offensive coordinator in 2007 and held on to that position after he became head coach midway through the 2010 season. There was no indication of how Callahan having that title would change, if any, Garrett calling plays or other coordinator duties.

Nowitzki sparks Mavs win; Carlisle ejected

BOSTON (AP) — Delonte West dribbled down the clock and then did what a Dallas point guard does: He got the ball to Dirk Nowitzki for the winner.
Nowitzki drove past Kevin Garnett for the go-ahead layup with 5.1 seconds left, scoring 16 points Wednesday night to lead the Mavericks to a 90-85 victory over the Boston Celtics.

Longhorns down Aggies, 61-51

AUSTIN  (AP) — With leading scorer J'Covan Brown still limited by a right ankle injury, a committee of players shouldered the offensive burden for Texas on Wednesday night.
Julien Lewis scored 16 points, Clint Chapman added 11 and Texas had 24 off the bench to beat Texas A&M 61-51 in what may be the last contest in Austin in the 95-year-old rivalry.
