SSMS tennis news

Sulphur Springs Middle School tennis team members  played in the Whiteright Middle School Tennis Tournament this past weekend. Others that faired well, Jackson Burnett, first place boys singles consolation; Harleigh Stegient, second place consolation girls singles; Heather Harris and Abbi Therwhanger both made it to the semifinals of the main draw. The team placed third overall among the eight teams invited. “The wind was tough but players were able to still maintain their focus on the court. Really looking forward to working with these players when they get to high school next year,” said Sulphur Springs tennis coach Tony Martinez.
The Pro-Am doubles tennis tournament Saturday. May 21, deadline next Wednesday May 18  for information contact coach Martinez 512-216-8014.

Bowling league report for May 10

With only four weeks remaining in the last six week period of Sunday’s regular season several bowlers last week decided it was a basically a “now or never” type of situation in posting a phenomenal game, series or both in some cases.
