     Friday basketball action was intense with tournament basketball games played at both Sulphur Bluff and North Hopkins.
     Names and spelling used are as they were submitted.

Cap Herman Tournament
    SULPHUR BLUFF — Detroit defeated Paris Home School, 81-40; Dodd City 73, Fannindel 50.
    Detroit took a 50-35 win over Sulphur Bluff. Scorers listed for the Bears were - Turner South, two; Foley eight, Seymore four, Jayden Goldsmith six and Joe Forshee, 15.

6 Wildcats get academic honors

    Six members of the Wildcat football team were named to the Football Academic All-State team.
    D.J. Hall and Easton Silman, second team; Jessy Darrow, Richard Green, Gideon Gregory and Logan Pierce, honorable mention.
     “This is a great honor to be recognized an All-State football player. These young men are very deserving of this award. This award shows they not only have the intellect, but also the work ethic to stay on top of their grades while giving so much of their time to their sport,” said Greg Owens, Wildcats head coach.
