The Lady Cats and Wildcats both earned first round byes in district competition.
“McKinney is very good up top and they have a good center midfielder No. 15,” said Sulphur Springs head soccer coach Andy Holt. “They are solid in the back with a good sweeper and good outside backs. Their goalkeeper is aggressive and athletic. I think we have to play good defense and don't allow their guys to get behind us. For the most part we are healthy. We have lost Juan Juarez for the season due to an infection in his leg. I think we are ready to play.”
