Four-day class, Counter Sketching and Rendering

             The Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology, a division of Paris Junior College, will offer a unique four-day class, Counter Sketching and Rendering. The class will be held from August 17-20, according to Shannon Calloway, TIJT instructor.


GED Graduation Set

The Adult Education and Family Literacy Department at Paris Junior College will hold GED graduation ceremonies for the 71 students who have successfully completed the required courses during the past year, according to Louisa Kessel, Director.


PJC Commencement Set

More than 500 candidates have applied for graduation on Friday of next week at Paris Junior College.

That means the college is expecting a record-breaking graduation ceremony, according to Rita Tapp, Registrar.


PJC Regents Honor Journalism Students, Retiring English Instructor

Honoring two Paris Junior College journalism students and a retiring instructor was the first order of business for the PJC Board of Regents Monday evening.


Northeast Texas Consortium Wins Major Distance Learning Award

The Northeast Texas Consortium of Colleges and Universities (NETnet) has received a major award from the Texas Distance Learning Association. Chosen as the 2009 Outstanding Institution for Commitment to Excellence and Innovation in Distance Education, the Consortium provides curriculum and technology support to fifteen public colleges and universities in northeast Texas, including Paris Junior College. PJC President Dr. Pamela Anglin was recently installed as Chair of the Northeast Texas Consortium’s Board of Directors.
