COMMERCE —The William L. Mayo Prestigious Speaker Series is set to feature civil rights activist Ruby Bridges and author of the book Through My Eyes.

PJC new site under construction

Work has begun on the construction of the foundation for the welding shop that will be located at the new PJC-Sulphur Springs Center (formerly Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Company). The welding program will be the first of several vocational programs to be offered at the new campus. The campus will undergo remodeling and expansion to accommodate all academic and vocational programs in the future.

“Dancing with the Stars” professional dancers Cheryl Burke and Tony Dovolani will be two of the featured performers in Ballroom with a Twist 2 at The University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.


Community education classes slated at PJC-Sulphur Springs Center

A variety of training courses, including computer, health care and OSHA courses, are available in January from the Paris Junior College-Sulphur Springs Center Continuing Education Department.
