I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday! I had a nice Thanksgiving at my uncle’s house. We had lots of good food and several relatives there to visit with. I missed getting to see some of the folks in the family who were unable to make it.
Burr, it is quickly changing from fall to winter in east Texas! The cold front that came through this weekend really made a big difference in the weather. I think it has triggered lots of folks to go out and start deer hunting now. I have a cousin that processes wild game and he said that he is covered up right now with deer and hogs to butcher.
Thanksgiving is quickly approaching and before you know it, it will be Christmas. I can’t believe that the year has flown by so fast. Seems like I catch myself saying that more and more as I get older. My mom’s side of the family will be having their Thanksgiving meal this weekend and my dad’s will be on Thanksgiving Day.
Congratulations to our Lady Hornets Volleyball Team! Even though they didn’t win their game against Big Sandy last night at least they made it to the regional quarter-finals which is a huge accomplishment! We won one out of the four sets played at the game.
