BCB gear up for third annual TBNHContest

It is that time of year again – time to dust of the bows and take aim at the feral hogs.

The Bluecollar Bowhunters (BCB) are ready and taking names for participants of the 2011 Texas Big Nasty Hog Contest set for Saturday, Feb. 12, and they are offering a $20 discount to early entries in the adult division received before Monday, Jan. 31.


Reed Williams downs boar in Sweetwater

Reed Williams, age 7, killed this boar hog Dec. 29 in Sweetwater, Texas while deer hunting with his dad. He did not get to shoot a deer but he made his shot count with his 25-06 rifle.

Strickland bags first trophy

Sims downs his first buck

Preston Sims, 10, downed his first buck while hunting with his dad, Jeremy Sims. The 5-point buck was killed on the family farm near Pickton.

Chapman brings in bring in her first hunting trophy of season

Victoria Chapman, 16-year old daughter of Jan Chapman and the late Biff Chapman, shot her first deer on  Sunday evening  Dec. 5. She took the 8-point buck on a lease   in Hopkins County while hunting with Ethan Boatman.
