I am back. I have been traveling for a while, but so glad to be back in good ol’ Brashear. We missed home but did not miss the grasshoppers. They went on a rampage while we were gone. Our garden looks like the plague of locusts or something hit it. We are just getting okra, a few melons, and a few tomatoes. The news will start out with a shout out of congratulations to the youth going to Puerto Rico with Brashear Baptist. They made $400 approximately with the concession stand at the Rummage Sale Saturday. Money was also made for the cancer victims of our community, $1,400. Great job of showing support for our neighbors.

Well, I am back and had a great time on our trip to the Holy Land. It was amazing to see things that are over 2,000 years old. If you ever have a chance, please go. I will not bore you with details, but if you want to talk, just come on by and I can show you over 1,000 pictures.

Rain has been so good. Garden growing great guns. Tom picked a pickup truck load of greens and turnips today. I think the Dinner Bell is serving greens on Wednesday. Turnip and mustard greens that is. I am loving the spinach that he has been picking. New potatoes will be picked by the end of the week.
