My week has been wacko with a holiday on Monday. I forgot that the 26th was my grandson Tate’s second birthday. Boy, I might fail the grandmother test. Let’s hope he will forgive me. I also got to keep two more of my grandchildren this weekend. I am blessed to have such wonderful grandchildren.

Brashear News

Beverly Haygood, our post mistress, wants to thank all of Brashear for donating over 1,700 pounds of food for their food drive last week. That amount more than doubles what was collected for last year. She said that in hard times you can count on your neighbors. Also want to congratulate Julie Benoist, daughter of Beverly’s assistant at the Post Office, Jody Benoist, for being recognized at her school for being good. Way to go!

Brashear News April 22, 2009

Our commissioner, Beth Wisenbaker, called this morning and wanted me to let everyone know that Precinct 1 compound on Highway 19 will be open until Friday, the 24th, at 5:30 p.m. She is extending the date for our county clean up. The rain may have kept some of us from cleaning up. They will accept anything but tires or hazardous materials.
